The Milky Way Story is a symbolic representation of the planet's and other key planetary bodies distance from the sun. By using beads to represent specific planets and planetary bodies, students can create a mnemonic device to share the story of our solar system. The distance from the sun is scaled by smaller black seed beads to represent 1 AU (Astronomical Unit  = 150 Million KM).  The Milky Way Story covers 12 planets/planetary bodies beginning with the Sun and ending with the dwarf planet of Pluto.  This kit includes beads, jewlrey cord, and command cards.
